NBYC invites East Coast Championship entrants to a practice race Wednesday evening June 20.

Here is a great opportunity for a "test run" and to acclimate to our local waters.  New Bedford Yacht Club Race Committee has invited the ECC entrants to participate in our Wednesday racing, a low key multi-class fun series for NBYC members.  The Rhodes fleet usually attracts 8-10 NBYC boats.  This is a great excuse to bring the boat down a day early, get it launched (ahead of the Thursday crush), and have a fun practice race.  NBYC will supply a dock or mooring (no charge), so you need not return until Friday am to check-in.  Racing starts at 6pm Wednesday.  You should leave the dock around 5:15pm.  Just specify a preferred launch time on your reg form.  It’s equally as fun after racing in our dining room with a casual buffet and cash bar.  As for the ECC itself, the regatta committee is in full gear and the planning is going very well.  Great racing and a fun time is virtually guaranteed.  Registration is open.  For forms and info go to http://www.r19fleet5.org/eastcoast2007/index.htm .  Please register early - and encourage your friendly competitors to do so too.
